She is the daughter of Anton LaVey, author and high priest of the Church of Satan, and founder of "Black Magick", who published The Satanic Bible in 1969. She is the eldest of three daughters with actress Dee Eckstein and her husband Anton LaVey. She was born on June 23, 1958 in San Francisco, California, United States and began dancing when she was seven years old. In addition to being a dancer, she has been a model, singer, and actress. Harley is best known for her role as Mephistopheles in the film The Devil's Rejects (2005). She also played the role of a demonic seductress in the 2010 movie Wake Me from Death's Dream, directed by Michael Gingold. She is an outspoken Satanist and has been quoted as saying that she believes her father "saved her soul". Harley has stated that, through ritual ceremonies, she was able to contact her deceased parents during their life and in the afterlife; thus, she considers herself a medium.
