Testing the Waters Pt 1 – Shay Sights – Shay is in her room, chatting on her phone. She’s talking to her girlfriend, trying to see if they want to hang out. The girl isn’t sure, so Shay tries to convince her by saying she can get them both a place to stay for free. Shay’s stepdad, Donnie, comes into the room and asks what she’s doing. She tells him about how her friend might be interested in staying over, but that it’ll cost money. Donnie is annoyed because he doesn’t want his house being cluttered, but Shay reminds him that if they stay for free, then there’s no issue. Donnie gets upset and says she should pay her way through college like normal kids, and leaves the room.
